Peek-A-Boo Raccoon

This is a little doodle of a Raccoon in a bush which I did tonight and then decided to give a quick colour. I used Corel Painter and I mainly used the Oil Brush. I think the Raccoon looks as if he is stuck!

Goodmorning Bat!

Just a doodle of a Bat which I decided paint in Corel Painter. The stars in the background came from an image of tin foil which I found on the net and modified it to look like a star. I was originally going to scan cut out tin foil stars but the tin foil wouldn't scan well.

Playing with Painter

This is a picture of a little Eskimo Boy which I done to experiment using collage and Coral Painter. I used an image of Rabbit fur which i found online and used it to make the furriness of the jacket and boots. The face was painted using an air brush and the clothes were painted using an oil brush. I am thinking about making some more pictures using collage and Coral Painter together as i quite like how this has come out.

Ria and Ryan Models

The following models were made by me using Maya and were designed and created by Sarah Ricketts. The models were created low-poly and their normals were then softened. The grey models were lit using Ambient Occlusion and and Amibient light.

This is Ria, Ryan's sister. She was made using 2735 polygons and was textured by Sarah Ricketts.

Ria dressed up as a Knight for the Fairy Tale scene. She was made using 5118 polygons and was textured by Sarah Ricketts.

Ria dressed up as a Pirate for the Pirate scene. She was made using 5277 polygons and was textured by Ian Mathews.

Ryan dressed up as a Dinosaur for the second part of the Fairy Tale scene. He was made using 6167 polygons and was again textured by Sarah Ricketts. Out of all the models, Dinosaur Ryan is my favourite by far.

Prop Designs

These are some quick sketches for tree and plant designs. For the trees I designed them to be a similar shape as Ria and Ryan, chunky and then thinning out in places. Since the trees would be the ones that Ria and Ryan imagine, they are not always traditional tree shaped and coloured.

These are some more finalised tree and plant designs. Coloured using coloured pencils.

Designs for some dinosaur toys. Again the dinosaurs have been desined to look friendly and rounded, including the claws and spikes.

This is the model sheet for the parrot. I designed him to look rounded and silly. the parrot is a character in the film but also he's a toy.

Dinosaur Scene Concept Design

Just a quick concept design for the Dinosaur Scene (this scene was later dropped). Everything was designed to look very round, cuddly and child friendly. The idea I had behind this was that I wanted the world to look as if Ria and Ryan wouldnt be able to hurt themselves as everything is rounded and soft, even the dinosaur was designed to look friendly. This scene would be part of the 2 children's imagination.
